I happily sat near this inky black pool all afternoon--writing, photographing, listening to the water flow and watching the leaves and foam swirl about.
While it may be one of the busiest national parks in the system year after year, I have enjoyed many moments of peace and solitude in Zion, even within the main canyon. It's incredible what a few steps off the beaten path can do.
